Before recommending a program, TechSix may conduct an initial functional and developmental observation relevant to the services presently available at the centre. Depending upon the child’s needs, observations may include movement, gross-motor skills, balance, coordination, posture, functional participation, attention, routine, sensory-motor responses and school readiness. Parents are requested to provide complete and accurate information regarding medical and developmental history, existing diagnosis, medications, seizures, previous therapies and other relevant concerns. Where further medical, developmental or specialist assessment appears appropriate, parents may be advised to consult an appropriately qualified professional. This is consistent with the information already collected in TechSix’s assessment form, including medical history, seizures, diagnosis and previous therapies.

progress while respecting each child’s individual needs and abilities.
